I'm currently going through treatment with Rob and just wanted to acknowledge the individualised and personalised care that has been provided. From when I started Rob has looked at my health issues without judgement and was able to help me in many areas that weren't optimal. Notably, Rob has helped me overcome gut issues and other niggling issues that I didn't were related but seemingly are. Rob is also great at explaining the body systems and related things which has been great. I can highly recommend the London Centre for Functional Medicine

"What I appreciate about Rob at the London Centre for Functional Medicine is that he seeks to educate rather than just give supplements and instructions. He makes you understand both the action needed to take as well the underlying physiological processes driving the underlying issues. Highly recommended."

If you're dealing with health challenges that conventional medicine hasn't resolved, I strongly suggest you visit the London Centre for Functional Medicine. They make a real effort to comprehend symptoms and worked with me to develop a plan for exploring treatment possibilities. Thanks to my practitioner, I now have answers to health questions that had eluded me for years, and I couldn't be more grateful. My practitioner (rob) uses a data-driven approach to identify the underlying cause. I've already recommended him to friends, and they have had success with his care as well.

Rather than going to a GP when you are sick I entered the Functional Medicine journey before things got out of hand. It’s a route everyone should consider as it does prevent illness and can reverse it! I learned a lot about how my body works and how to become healthier. London CFM walked me through the things I needed to know by educating me about how the digestive system works and healing my SIBO. Thank you!

I was originally referred to Mr Staunton by a nutritional therapist who felt that his particular expertise was required for my specific needs. After meeting him and explaining the situation, he conducted some lab tests which had to be shipped to Germany.. In the 3 months that I’ve been treated by Mr Staunton, I’ve seen a significant improvement in my symptoms and I’m feeling optimistic about my continued good health. I highly recommend the Clinic and working with Mr Staunton has been a very professional and pleasant experience. He’s extremely knowledgeable about both nutrition and how the body works.

Functional medicine uses a personalised approach to treating an illness or disease that takes into consideration various factors, such as diet, genetics, environment, and lifestyle. By examining each of these factors, functional medicine practitioners strive to approach your condition from multiple perspectives. The fundamental principle of functional medicine is a systems biology-based approach that seeks to identify the underlying causes of a condition and provide treatment that addresses these causes, resulting in long-term benefits.

The strength of functional medicine lies in its comprehensive treatment methods, taking into account many different facets that could be contributing to their health challenges. Instead of merely addressing symptoms or providing a one-dimensional approach to chronic conditions, Functional medicine takes into account a patient’s personal, family, social, and medical history, constructing a comprehensive patient profile that becomes the foundation of their treatment plan.

The functional medicine approach taken at the London Centre for Functional Medicine can help a wide range of conditions including :

  • Digestive Conditions including SIBO/Candida

  • Chronic pain

  • Skin health

  • Thyroid Issues

  • Sleep conditions

  • Cardiovascular conditions
  • Women’s health conditions

  • Metabolic issues e.g T2D

Many of the patients we see at the London Centre for Functional Medicine have been dealing with persistent symptoms and have not found success with previous healthcare providers. To tackle the root causes of their condition, we use a holistic treatment approach that prioritises educating each patient about their own body and how to manage their symptoms. Our functional medicine methodology takes into account multiple factors that contribute to the illness looking at different factors that need to be taken into account to attain long lasting positive health outcomes.

A one off consultation is £300 and involves looking at past medical results & history, the consultation itself, a detailed report including nutrition, testing recommendations (where needed) and lifestyle advice.

Our 3 month plan is £950. This option is best for those who want to commit to a period with the practitioner to get a deeper understanding of what has caused the imbalance and presentation of symptoms. Typically, we see a period of between 2 to 3 months for an improvement in symptoms. The period will usually involve testing and a modification to nutrition, diet and lifestyle choices

Parking is available in the surrounding streets which can be paid using the ringo app.

The closest Tube is Oxford circus (8 minutes) or Bond Street (9 minutes)

We currently don’t take private medical insurance, however, some insurance companies such as Bupa international do give reimbursements. Please speak to your insurer to see if they will reimburse you for a consultation or testing.

During a functional medicine consultation with the London Centre for Functional Medicine your practitioner will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your medical history, lifestyle factors, nutrition, genetic predispositions, and environmental influences. They may order specialised lab tests to gain deeper insights into your health. Based on this information, a personalised treatment plan will be created, which may include dietary changes, targeted supplementation, stress reduction techniques, exercise recommendations, and other interventions tailored to your specific needs.

Yes, it is and we have a number of elderly and children as clients.

Functional medicine is designed to complement conventional medical treatments, and our functional medicine practitioners emphasise collaboration and integration with conventional medicine. This approach takes into account the complete well-being of the patient and aims to address the underlying causes of disease by considering factors such as genetics, lifestyle, and environmental influences.

By combining the strengths of both functional and conventional medicine, patients can experience the benefits of a more personalized and comprehensive approach to their health. It is crucial for patients to maintain open communication with their healthcare providers to ensure effective coordination and the development of a well-rounded treatment plan tailored to their individual needs

It really depends on what the presentation is. For the most part, we look at 2-3 months. However, we expect symptoms to improve in weeks, which is then ongoing. In chronic cases, where patients have been unwell for many years, progress may take longer. We therefore recommend regular check-ins to allow both practitioner and patient to review what is working, make necessary adjustments, and support progress as it evolves over time.
